New timeline is October for the restaurant up top & I believe late August for the bottom part per a WSJ story. It will probably get delayed again.

They are just building this Eataly place now
tearing down walls and putting in the duct work
for A/C. I amwriting near the place on July 9th 2010
Summer 2010 is a fable time now to open.
Will think it probably will open Summer of 2011.

Summer 2010 sounds very optimistic. Summer 2011 seems more realistic from what little I’ve seen.

Yup, it actually makes me want to move to NYC this summer (and sleep in the basement of this place). I’d go broke quite quickly hanging around the swanky 5th Avenue though. Would be cool to get a job there. I assume they’re doing a lot with wine too even though this press release doesn’t mention it?

Wow! This might be the greatest news I’ve heard in a very long time. NYC is one of the best beer towns in the country… this is only going to solidify that position. I can’t wait!
