(Denver, CO) – An Alaskan by the name of Bill Howell won the annual Beer Drinker of the Year Contest held at Wynkoop Brewing today. He wins free beer for life at the Denver brewery and a few other prizes. The silver lining, of course, is that he lives 3,500 miles away from Denver.

Weyerbacher Zotten to be renamed “Verboten”
(Easton, PA) – Weyerbacher Brewing wasted no time in submitting a new label for the discontinued Zotten brand. The Pennsylvanian brewery recently sent out a press release, as required by the offended brewery, explaining why the Zotten package had to be discontinued. The beer will now be called Weyerbacher Verboten. Verboten is another way of saying “forbidden.” Nothing about the beer itself will change.
Dogfish Head Wrath of Pecant to be released mid-March
(Milton, DE) – Dogfish Head will soon release the BA/DFH collaboration beer it debuted at Beer Advocate’s Extreme Beer Fest, Wrath of Pecant, in bottles.
