(Bloomfield, CT) – Thomas Hooker Brewing will introduce its Liberator Doppelbock and Imperial Porter into 4-packs for the first time later this month.

Art Director, Tim Phelps, said on Beer Advocate this week: “The biggest issue with [the swing top bottles] is they have to be closed up by hand (so they are open to the air longer than capped bottles) whereas a bottling line moves faster and they are capped by a machine. Which is why they are being re-packaged in 12oz bottles from now on.”

The Liberator Doppelbock has long been among the top doppelbocks on Beer Advocate and is a top 100 beer.

For those hoping to see something new from the brewery, Phelps added, “Unofficially, I can say that there will be some small test batch beers showing their face at the brewery in the near future.”
