Thanks for the offer, Mike but I'm a New England guy. A bit of a far trek for beer but I'm sure it is tasty.

I work for a contracted wholesaler of MDV and our order of Stingo was just delivered (Only a few cases due to the small supply). I was allotted one bottle and am drinking it now. I would love to give a review, but cannot because with each taste their is a new flavour. If you live in my area (Northwestern PA) and read this on Saturday, October 10, 2009, you may have a small chance of obtaining a bottle. If you read this on Sunday, it's too late.

The brewery will produce only 2000 cases of year. This year's release is moving into the marketplace now. You only find it in the best beer stores and best beer bars.

I'll have to look for this one. I admit that it has been years since I had a Samuel Smith's. I had my first at a pub with a fireplace in London. Good memories, wonder if that pub is even still there.

Hi Jill, I'm afraid I don't have an update for this. There are no locations where it is available in the US according to Beer Advocate. It happens sometimes that a beer wont actually make it overseas despite getting label approved incase it were to happen. Given the length of time it's been, I would assume we won't see it though you may want to reach out to the importers.

is it really true that Stingo will be re-released in the States? As of this writing (July 5, 2009) I have not been able to find it in the Boston area, where I live. I loved this beer some 30 years ago, when it was readily available, but have not been able to find it since.

I would appreciate any more information about this.

Thanks.
