(Eugene, OR) – This is late (we try to get you the news well before the beer is actually released). Belmont Station noted in its blog that Ninkasi beers would be available this week. The beers in question are the Total Domination IPA, Tricerahops Double IPA. and Double Red Ale. Belmont Station is also holding a bottle release party on Monday, March 10 with Jamie Floyd, the co-owner and head brewer in attendance. Ninkasi is a fairly new operation but Floyd is well-known in the region for his decade-long work with Steelhead Brewing.

Oh, and the name? Per Wikipedia, “Ninkasi is the ancient Sumerian matron goddess of beer.” Sumer is the earliest known civilization in the world.
