Deschutes turns 20, announces Black Butte XX is next in Special Reserve Series

courtesy of Deschutes Brewery(Bend, OR) – Oodles and oodles of Deschutes news…the brewery announced among other things late last night, the release of two new beers to come later in 2008, its 20th anniversary year:

[6/26 Update: Please refer to this article for full photos. The beer is now on sale!]

Deschutes Black Butte XX - The next special reserve (think The Abyss) release; this Imperial porter (2008 is the year of the Imperial porter!!!) marks the 20th anniversary of the initial release of the original Black Butte Porter; this will be available in June on draft and in wax-tipped bottles; the beer features Bellatazza coffee, Theo’s cocoa nibs, and Stranahan’s whiskey barrels (see Oskar Blues Ten FIDY and Great Divide Whiskey-Aged Yeti). The beer has been available on tap recently. [And credit to SurlyDuff for being the first to mention Black Butte XX as the next release]

Deschutes 20th Anniversary Wit will be available as a Bond Street Series release in June to commemorate the brewery’s 20th anniversary (to be celebrated during the weekend of June 27); the beer was “brewed with zested Curacao orange peel” and spices.

Deschutes Hop Henge Imperial IPA will be next up in the Bond Street Series; everything about the original Hop Henge recipe has been reformulated according to Head Brewer, Brett Porter (kind of vague, is it reformulated from the original Imperial recipe?); the beer is scheduled to be available from April and June.In addition, Deschutes has also been busy working on the new Portland Pub for which the Grand Opening will be on May 2. The Abyss will be available on draft for the opening.

Back in Bend, there appears to be some compelling events coming up in the spring and summer. The 4th Annual Barrel Tasting on June 14 showcases a list of beers that sounds especially impressive (along with free food, tickets are $35):

The Abyss – Aged in a Combination of Pinot, Oregon Oak and Bourbon Barrels.
St. Tanith – Aged in Oregon Oak Barrels.
Black Butte XX – Aged in Bourbon Barrels.
Mr. Big Ed Brown – Aged in Bourbon Barrels.
Green Lake Organic Ale – Aged in Cabernet Oak Casks.
Mirror Pond – Aged in French Oak Pinot Noir Barrels
The Dissident – Aged in Oregon Pinot Noir Barrels.
Inversion IPA – Aged in Cabernet Oak Casks

There was a lot more covered in the most recent newsletter and I encourage you to check it out yourself.

Last but not least, Deschutes announced recently that it would be expanding distribution into Texas. This is great news for a state that hasn’t had a great reputation for incoming distribution. The regular version of the Black Butte Porter and Mirror Pond Pale Ale are available now in some areas.

Mikkeller and Nogne O Tyttebaer collaboration coming this winter?

Courtesy of Mikkeller and Nogne O - Tyttebaer

[Update: Losing track of this one but guessing it will ship this winter]

(Grimstad, Norway) – The much-anticipated beer that Mikkeller and Nøgne Ø collaborated on this winter is closer to a release, but it is still anyone’s guess as to just when that will be. The ale, which will eventually be imported by the Shelton Brothers, just got label approval here in the States.

Nøgne Ø wrote about the beer on its website back in late January surmising that, “We are these days brewing probably the worlds first commericial Tyttebær Ale, and for sure Nøgne Ø’s first lambic ever.” The brewery also linked to a short video (though not in English) of them making that beer with just some of the 1000 kilos of berries that they used for it. The type of cranberry used for this lambic has several names according to Washington State University including lingonberry and cowberry. There is a sense of history tied to this particular fruit in parts of North America and Northern Europe.

At 4.5% ABV, this beer will be relatively light compared to lambics brewed by Brasserie Cantillon and others. We’ll re-visit when this beer is ready to ship.

Port Brewing Moon Lit Sessions Lager gets approval

Courtesy of Port Brewing Co - Moon Lit Sessions
(San Marcos, CA) – One of Port Brewing’s two newest offerings got label approval late this week from the TTB. Ordinarily, little buzz surrounds lager releases but Moon Lit Sessions has become the beneficiary of the hype surrounding other recent and upcoming Port and Lost Abbey offerings. The two breweries out in San Marcos have been in the news a lot lately. Lost Abbey just recently released its bourbon-barrel version of The Angel’s Share, which has catapulted up to the top 5 at RateBeer in just the last few weeks. Port Brewing, on the other hand, is set to release its eagerly anticipated Serpent’s Stout soon. Moon Lit Sessions has close ties to the latter, considering it was brewed from the second runnings of the Serpent’s Stout. Port has also billed this lager as one with smoked and coffee flavors.

BREAKING NEWS: Russian River Temptation goes on sale today

    russian_river_temptation.jpg
(Santa Rosa, CA) – A surprise blog entry by Natalie Cilurzo, co-owner at Russian River, revealed this morning that Temptation would go on sale at the brewery today at 11am. This is contrary to Natalie’s latest newsletter which implied that we would have to wait until late next month for the three bottles we have discussed ad nauseam. The blog post also mentions that Beatification Batch #2 is “available when Vinnie [Cilurzo, co-owner] says so” and that Supplication is “available when Vinnie gives in.” Note that all three beers are now available for orders/pre-orders on the brewery’s website. Natalie discusses the differences between these batches and prior ones: check it out here.

All three beers are ranked in the top 50 at Beer Advocate with Temptation currently ranked at#36.

Mikkeller brews special batch of X Imperial Stout for charity auction

mikkeller_site_416_263.jpg(Copenhagen, Denmark) – Mikkeller joins the foray of recent breweries to auction off beer for charity. Mikkeller has produced a special 40-bottle batch of its X Imperial Stout for Ølbutikken, a popular craft beer store in Denmark, which will be auctioning the beers over the next two weeks on its official website. The beer was aged in sherry casks for eight months and each bottle appears to be individually numbered and signed by the brewers. (Updated 3/31: Per Jeppe, co-owner of Ølbutikken, as reported on RateBeer, this starts today, 3/31) It is not clear exactly when the auction started but we know it was within the last few days. It is also unclear whether bidding requires credit card information (but do know that freight charges are NOT included in the bid price). The charity is called Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke in Mozambique (site in English); they appear to be working on a development project in Mozambique that promotes democracy and helps facilitate equal distribution of resources among the poor.

Mikkeller X Imperial Stout is the brewery’s highest-rated beer to date. It does not have the number of reviews necessary to qualify for the top 50 at Rate Beer due to the beer’s being divided by vintage. Without separation by vintage, the beer would be ranked among the top 25 beers in the world. Highest bidder not only gets “bottle number 1, but will also get one bottle of Mikkeller X Imperial Stout 2006 plus one bottle of Mikkeller X Imperial Stout 2007.”

    Beernews.org Weekly Round-up

alesmith.jpgThis should become a weekly Friday feature. This will cover new beer release announcements and anything you need to be aware of before the following Friday (i.e., this weekend or next week’s events, releases). Unfortunately, this week was slow as molasses for beer news unless you contend that the Oberon release was a big story. The beer gods needed a breather after St. Patrick’s Day! There are only four items that stick out as BIG stories to me this week. If you disagree, feel free to comment.

    1. Alesmith release party next Tuesday [updated 3/29: this is big. All three Barrel-Aged beers are in the top 50 at Rate Beer and Alesmith Barrel-Aged Speedway just happens to be in the top 50. Take the afternoon off from work!]

    2. Lost Abbey Serpent’s Stout drops as early as next week (updated 3/31: definitely the case in some places still tentative but screenshots of the beer were posted this week so I have every reason to believe this is happening very shortly)

    3. Great Divide’s new Whiskey-Aged Yeti and Old Ruffian

    4. Captain Lawrence releases Smoke from the Oak TODAY

Beer notes: New beer releases (Flossmoor Station, Baron Brewing)

A number of breweries have got new beers or bottlings coming but there isn’t always enough to merit a whole post to each one (or I just don’t have the time).

    • Haandbryggeriet, a Norwegian brewery who earned some fanfare with Dark Force- its wheat-heavy take on a Russian Imperial Stout, will enter the Double IPA category for the first time with “Dobbel Dram.” The beer will be arriving to the states in the coming weeks.
    • Flossmoor Station won’t stop bottle production with only three of its styles. The brewery will also re-image its previously bottled Panama Limited Red Ale and release Gandy Dancer Honey Ale in bottles. The brewery is believed to be in label approval stage as we speak.
    • Baron Brewing, a Seattle-based brewery known for its German specialties, will release a new beer, King Porter, in bottles. All of Baron’s beers have scored in the A/B range on Beer Advocate so far. Speaking of the devil, a click to the website might show what BA.com could have looked like back in 1997.
    • Straight from New England Brewing’s newsletter: The Scotch ale is now in the label-approval stage so it should be released in the next few weeks. (This is probably referring to the new Wet Willy Scotch Ale, 10% ABV, available on tap at the brewery).

Atlanta Georgia bar offers “table taps,” beer taps at your table

    ———————————————————————————————-

(Atlanta, GA) – A bar in Georgia has what are called “table taps.” Each table has two taps from which patrons can pour their own beer. Unfortunately, the most craft-like options include Guinness and Newcastle at the moment. It’s a pretty neat concept, though. Just imagine having a virtually endless flow of a beer like Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale at your fingertips while at the bar. Check out the official site at the Table Tap.

3/30 Update: Yahoo News! is hosting a video that show how these taps work. Fox News: Self-Service?

Troegs, Russian River, others to celebrate (end to) Prohibition anniversary

    ————————————————————————————————-

troegs_brewery.jpg(Harrisburg, PA) – Tröegs Brewery, most infamous for its top-notch Nugget Nectar IPA, will be holding a special event on A, celebrating the end of Prohibition 75 years ago. On April 11, recognized beer author, Lew Bryson (click on “Seen Through a Glass” on the blogroll to the right), will be at the brewery to discuss Prohibition and promote his book about Philadelphia breweries. Tröegs will be chipping in to the festivities with the launch of Scratch #11 (thus skipping 9 and 10) in a firkin and its previously sold out barley wine, Scratch #4. Scratch #4, a.k.a. The Flying Mouflan, has actually pushed Nugget Nectar for Tröegs’ highest-rated beer crown. You can read more about it (ingredients, etc.) and the other beers in the Scratch Series over at Tröegs website.

Russian River will be bottling jarring its Blind Pig beer in Prohibition era-style Mason jars and selling them for $7 a pop, $3 for refills on April 7.

Rock Bottom brewpubs nationwide will be promoting a Brewer-for-a-day contest for patrons on April 7.

To see what your local watering hole/brewery is doing to mark the event, visit the Brewer’s Association’s official page on the event (scroll to the bottom of the home page for the link).

Short’s Brewing “Vote Your Short’s” campaign wrapping up

    ———————————————————————————————-

shorts_brewing_logo_site_version.jpg(Bellaire, MI) – Short’s Brewing will be wrapping up its voting drive in just a few days. The brewery has given on-line beer fans a chance to vote for a state to which they want Short’s to distribute their beers. The beer will be just part of the equation, however, next to “state laws, logistics, competition.” The brewery released its results as of Sunday, March 25 and Ohio is in the lead. Pennsylvania is in 2nd, Missouri is surprisingly in 3rd, and Massachusetts and Florida round out the top 5. This may only be the first round of voting though so the top several states should have another shot at the top spot. The bottles will be distributed to a new state either late this year or early next year. The Michigan bottle launch will be this May or June.

Short’s has become somewhat of a BeerAdvocate phenomenon and has earned less recognition on RateBeer. If you’d like to try their beers, you may consider heading over to the brewery on Saturday, April 26. The brewery will be releasing 22′s of its 2008 Anniversary Ale, a double IPA, and Bourbon-Barrel Sustenance Black Bier, “a rich caramel and toasty-toffee chocolaty malty dark lager.”

Alpine to release Belgians, Chez Monieux and Briscoe, on April 15

    ——————————————————————————————–

alpine_beer_co_site_version.jpg(Alpine, CA) – Alpine Beer Co. is set to release two new Belgian beers next month. Chez Monieux, a Belgian Kreik, will be released in 750 mL’s and Briscoe, a Belgian lambic, will be released in 375 mL’s. The brewery will also be offering up three IPAs (so much for hop shortages!): Exponential Hoppiness, Duet, and O’ Brien’s IPA, for growler fills. The full newsletter is included below. Be sure to visit the ‘Contact’ page at alpinebeerco.com to join the newsletter.

    ——————————————————————————————–

Spring has sprung and April is just around the corner. For some, April is a month of flowers blooming and birds singing, and for others it’s the month that taxes are due. For those of you dreading the evil IRS we here at Alpine Beer Company have created “Tax Relief Day,” April 15th. When we open for business that day, there will be 5 extra beers available, 2 new bottled beers and 3 draft re-releases.

For growler fills only, we’ll offer Duet – a 7% IPA using Simcoe and Amarillo hops “in harmony,” O’Brien’s IPA – a 6% IPA that’s slightly maltier and more sessionable, and Exponential Hoppiness – a 10.75% Triple IPA that’s double dry-hopped and oak chipped. Look for these same beers at your favorite beer establishments around town.

The bottled beers are very special. These beers have been aging for 15 months in oak barrels formerly used for red wine. We have about 75 cases of a Belgian Kriek called “ Chez Monieux.” It comes in a 750 ml Belgian-style capped bottle and weighs in at 5.8%. We used 2 varieties of cherries with a dominate amount being the tart Montmorency Cherry from Michigan. You don’t want to know how much the cherries cost. The Kriek bottles are not bottle conditioned, no sediment at the bottom, so long aging (more than 2 years) is not recommended, but who knows.

The other bottle is a Belgian Lambic which comes in a small 375 ml bottle at 5%. This is the same barrel aged beer without the cherries. It has a tart, fruity, sour taste and is bottle conditioned. It does taste like a one year old lambic and should age well if properly stored. It’s called “ Briscoe” and because of its demure size we refer to it as “Briscoe Lambic Junior.” We have about 20 cases.

Neither the Kriek nor the Lambic are available for samples. There is a 6 bottle limit on the Kriek and a 4 bottle limit on the Lambic.

Since April 15th looks to be a very busy day, if there is a line at the counter there will be no sampling. We think it’s only polite to allow everyone that wants to buy beer to have a chance and sampling takes a lot of time.

What little is kegged of the Belgian beers will be saved for the opening of our pub. Remodeling will start on the future site of our barbeque themed watering hole after the first of April. We feel more positive about actually starting work there since we’ve seen a sign posted inside saying they are moving April 1st, no joke.

We have 2 brewery tours scheduled. One for Wednesday, April 16th at about 9:30 AM and the other on Friday, April 18th, about 3 PM. The World Beer Cup will be in town that week and there will be lots of international beer people visiting San Diego. The organizers scheduled several tours around the county and we were included on the Wednesday tour and some Belgian Judges have arranged a private tour for that Friday. Watch for small groups of people with accents that Friday afternoon and say ‘welcome.’ “

Russian River Beatification to arrive in late April, new beer in 2009?

russian_river.gif(Santa Rosa, CA) – Russian River sent out two updates yesterday. The email newsletter confirmed the release of a few barrel-aged beers which we already know are Beatification, Supplication, and Temptation late next month. More interesting is what Vinnie is ‘brewing’ about in his blog…the release of a unique version of Beatification to come in 2009:

From Russian River’s website: “While the rest of us were working in the yard or hiding Easter eggs for the kids, Vinnie was busy crafting his third batch of our spontaneously fermented beer, which we refer to as a “Sonambic”. A couple of years ago Vinnie returned from a visit to Cantillon Brewery in Belgium with a new inspiration- to ferment beer without adding yeast. Why not? Wyeast and White Labs did not exist when people first discovered the intoxicating effects of fermented sugars. This tradition is alive and well in the ultra sour Lambic region in Belgium, as well as at the world renowned historic Cantillon Brewery in Brussels. In the spirit of the Madrid Pact (the one created during Prohibition to designate growing regions like Champagne), we created a new term for the Lambic-style spontaneously beer produced here in Sonoma County. Thank you, Brian Hunt, for coming up with the cool word “Sonambic”. Brian actually owns our local farmhouse brewery, but he doesn’t know that yet…. shhhh!

These photos were taken today in our barrel room at the 4th Street brewery. This beer will eventually become Beatification Batch #3, available in bottles sometime next year.”

Great Divide to offer up Whiskey-Aged Yeti and Old Ruffian

    great_divide_whiskey_aged_yeti_site_version.jpg

[9/19 Update: Please see the updated September post on the new Barrel-Aged Yeti and Old Ruffian. The beers should come out within the next week if they haven't already. Very limited supply!]

(Denver, CO) – Great Divide Brewing will launch new versions of two of its most critically acclaimed beers, Yeti Imperial Stout and Old Ruffian Barley Wine, in 2008. The new versions will be aged in Whiskey barrels. Great Divide launched an Oak-Aged version of its imperial stout some time ago and it became a staple in the brewery’s product line (and a top 50 beer of the world). Both of these beers, however, are labeled as “Limited Edition” and may not be around for long when eventually released.

The beers are aged in Stranahan’s Whiskey barrels for nine months. Some may remember Stranahan’s for providing the whiskey barrels for another fellow Denver brewery’s beer. Oskar Blues’ Ten FIDY Imperial Stout aged in whiskey barrels was on pace for top 50 status as well but didn’t garner enough reviews to actually place. Old Ruffian and Yeti rise to 12.7 and 12.2% ABV respectively with this aging.

Tyranena gets label approval for new Brewers Gone Wild! beer

    ———————————————————————————————–

    tyranena_brewers_gone_wild_devil_over_a_barrel_site_version.jpg

(Lake Mills, WI) – Nearly three weeks ago, we reported that Tyranena’s newest beer in the Brewers Gone Wild! series would be a bourbon-aged version of “The Devil Made Me Do It.” Tyranena got approval on the label for that beer late last week. “Devil Over a Barrel” unofficially becomes the 9th beer in the series dating back to late Spring 2004 when the brewery launched “Spank Me Baby Barleywine.” The beer is a blend of 40% The Devil Made Me Do It (an imperial oatmeal coffee porter) and 60% of the same brew aged in bourbon-barrels. Tyranena has not yet announced this beer on its website and details as to when it will be released are currently unknown.

Weyerbacher secures hops for Double Simcoe

    ————————————————————————————————
    weyerbacher_double_simcoe_site_version.jpg

(Easton, PA) – The brewery sent out a newsletter yesterday with a smorgasbord of items. Among the most prominent was the news of the purchase of 3000 lbs. of Simcoe hops for use in brewing its most highly-rated beer, Double Simcoe. The brewery also announced that it will be expanding distribution. Read below for more (and click over to their website so that you can receive these updates as well).

    ————————————————————————————————
QUAD, the only US beer to make the top 10 picks in a blind tasting by a NY Times panel of 40 Belgian-style and Belgian beers is back in stores now for a limited time only. Rated higher than Roquefort 10 by this same panel, QUAD is a little to the malty side of balance with notes of fig or date on the palate, along with some of that Belgian fruitiness you expect. Ages extremely well. Peaks at about 1 to 2 years.

Blasphemy! is also in markets or on the way now. This sister beer to QUAD (aged in bourbon barrels) has added old-world complexity from the oak. Available in 12 oz and 22 oz bottles.

Our annual Open House extravaganza is Saturday March 29th from Noon to 2:30 p.m., we hope to see you here. Check out our website for more details on this.

Weyerbacher beer will soon be distributed in Florida! As soon as registration is complete, probably mid-April, you’ll see our brews down in the Sunshine state. Georgia is next on the list, hope to be there by the start of summer.

Our new bottling line is awesome! 200 cases per hour (for now), with 300 cases possible! We’ve order more Fermenters as well, and we are well situated to supply the ongoing demand for our brews as strong growth continues in 2008.

Finally, the best news. We’ve been able to obtain 3000 lbs of Simcoe Hops! After lengthy searches we were able to obtain this quantity, which added to our current inventory should last us ’til the end of 2008 or early 2009, at which time the 2008 crop will be in. It’s not yet certain that we’ll get all we asked for of the ’08 crop, but for now Double Simcoe keeps on pouring! Raise a pint won’t you?

Flossmoor Station bottles to debut at April 5 event

    ———————————————————————————
Courtesy of Flossmoor Station - Pullman Brown

(Flossmoor, IL) – Flossmoor Station will release its first line of bottles ever next month with a launch at its April 5 event. The event marks the anniversary of the Repeal of Prohibition. Flossmoor will be releasing its award-winning Pullman Nut Brown Ale, Station Master Wheat, and a new one-off recipe IPA, the first of its so-called “Brewer’s Whim” series.

Flossmoor won Small Brewpub of the Year and Small Brewpub Brewer of the Year at the Great American Beer Festival in 2006. The Pullman Nut Brown was a gold medalist at the 2006 World Beer Cup and a silver medalist at the 2006 GABF. Andrew Mason actually keeps one of the best brewer blogs online, if not the best. You can click onto it from the brewery website. This unique aspect of the brewery was covered on “A Good Beer Blog” early last year.

Rumor: New England Brewing confirms Imperial Stout Trooper redux

    ——————————————————————————–

    new_england_imperial_stout_trooper_site_version2.jpeg

(Woodbridge, CT) – Rob Leonard, Owner and Head Brewer of Connecticut-based New England Brewing, confirmed in an e-mail this week that the Imperial Stout Trooper would be brewed again. There were no more details provided in the e-mail posted by Phagelab over at BeerAdvocate. The beer has garnered big respect at the beer site earning a 4.41 average. It is the second-ranked beer brewed in New England with Portsmouth Kate the Great being #1. Thomas Hooker’s Liberator Doppelbock previously held the ratings crown as top beer in Connecticut but was trumped by the IST after a strong 2007. While New England Brewing distributes most of their beers in cans, Imperial Stout Trooper was a bottled release.

Cadillac Mountain Stout gets a new look

    ————————————————————————————————–
bar_harbor_cadillac_mtn_stout.jpg Courtesy of Bar Harbor Brewing - Cadillac Mountain Stout

(Bar Harbor, ME) – With new ownership of Bar Harbor Brewing, one of Maine’s three crown jewels will get a new look this spring (the old label is pictured to the left and the new to the right). Cadillac Mountain Stout is one of the top-ranked American/dry stouts (possibly #1) in the world and is among the top-ranked beers brewed in Maine alongside Allagash’s Odyssey and Interlude. Some fear that this gem might be one no longer. Local restaurant owner and Florida-based advertising firm director, Evan Contorakes, has bought the operations and is moving them over to the downtown area in Bar Harbor. The change in ownership is certainly meeting mixed reactions.

The move to the tourist center will make Bar Harbor’s beers a lot more accessible to visitors and will allow people an inside look at how the beer is made through tours that will now be available. Distribution of the beer should finally expand beyond Maine as well but this is what concerns most. Will the brewing process change with expanded distribution and will that negatively affect the taste and quality of the beer? Some hope that this doesn’t lead to a contract-brewing deal with Shipyard, a Portland-based brewery known for using the not-so-popular ringwood yeast in its own beers.

The concerns may be unfounded though as at least one person has been told by the original founders of the brewery, Tod and Suzi Foster, that nothing about the beer itself or the process should change. Tod and Suzi’s story is an interesting one that is discussed in Andy Crouch’s The Good Beer Guide to New England (free Google books preview) among others places. Anyway, you can join in on the discussion about the changes over at Bar Harbor at Beer Advocate.

Rogue to honor Malheur National Wildlife Refuge

————————————————————————————————- Courtesy of Rogue Ales - Great Egret Pale Ale(Newport, OR) – Rogue will pay tribute to the park and the work it has done leading up to its 100th anniversary this year. The brewery will release Great Egret Pale Ale to mark the event. It was the near extinction of the Great Egret that led to President Roosevelt’s eventual recognition of the park as a national refuge in 1908. The Great Egret at Wikipedia. Malheur also has an official site; it is part of a 1.7 million acre national park in eastern Oregon.

For homebrew buffs, the ingredient details can be found right on the label:

    • Malts – Northwest Harrington, Klages, Maier Munich, & Carastan
    • Hops – Perle (Germany) & Saaz (Czech Republic)

Rogue will also have a new beer, “Eugene Anniversary Ale,” on tap at some point for those in the area.

De Struise Brouwers auctions off 9-liter beers for charity

    ————————————————————————

de-struise-brouwers.jpg(Waregem, Belgium) – In a move that more craft brewers should take up, Struise is auctioning off nine-liter bottles of beer to the highest bidders for charity, according to the brewery’s blog. No Black Albert but some of the beers are brewed by Struise and some are from other breweries. The beers in question are already up for bid on eBay, the links for which can be accessed directly through the Struise blog; they will be awarded to the high bidders on March 23. The charity is called Somival (I couldn’t get the site to work). The lineup:

    • Struise Pannepot Reserva Oak Aged – 4.26 RB (the best of the batch)
    • Struise Pannepeut (new version) – 3.92
    • Alvinne Podge Imperial Stout Blended & Oak Aged – 4.25 avg. on Ratebeer, only 4 reviews
    • Arabier
    • Piraat 10.5
    • Malheur 10
    • Quintine Blonde
    • Oud Beersel Oude Lambik
    • De Hofnar
    • HIK Bruin

There will also be a second event from what I can tell right in Belgium with live bidding. And at some point, Black Albert will be available but probably only for the auction. If someone can translate, send me a note: “Black Albert zal beschikbaar zijn vanaf 30/04/08.”
